Domestic Couple for stunning estate in Maidenhead
Salary £70,000 joint Accommodation included
A highly responsible and experienced Domestic Couple are required for a prestigious private residence in Maidenhead. This is a wonderful opportunity for a Domestic Couple looking for a long term role as most of the staff within this residence have been here for many years! The family are only here at the weekend (Friday – Monday) so there is plenty of time to get on top of other maintenance jobs within the house. The cooking element is simple nutritious home cooking – occasionally cooking for guests and family celebrations.
Main elements of this Domestic Couple role will include
Housekeeping – alongside one other housekeeper and a laundress we are looking for someone with a fine eye for detail who understands how to look after antiques and works of art – fabrics and ornaments
Cleaning duties – all areas of this historic property including living spaces, bedrooms and bathrooms, kitchen area – general housekeeping cleaning laundry and ironing
Wardrobe Management ensuring expensive garments and fabrics are cared for – identifying clothing that requires dry cleaning
House Management Overseeing contractors, managing household operations and ensuring the property runs efficiently
Cooking – Simple basic meal preparation – Ensuring the kitchen is fully stocked
Ordering of food and supplies
Liaising with the Principle to go through menu ideas and also with the gardening team to maximise the use of fresh seasonal home-grown produce
Serving at meal times as required
Driver– occasional requirement to drive the Principal to London – therefore one of you must have a full UK driving licence
Must have 4 + years experience working in private households
Skills – a mix of housekeeping and cooking skills required
