I'm working with a well-established UK-based refrigeration and process engineering business, known for delivering high-quality technical solutions across commercial and light industrial environments. They specialise in the design, installation, service, and maintenance of refrigeration systems, with a strong presence in the food production and manufacturing sectors where operational reliability is critical.

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint a Field Refrigeration Engineer to strengthen their UK wide service team. This role will involve working across food manufacturing and process environments, carrying out:

  • Planned and reactive maintenance
  • Advanced fault finding and diagnostics
  • Support with commissioning of new systems
  • Ensuring compliance with F-Gas regulations, H&S standards, and industry requirements

You'll act as a key technical representative on sites across the UK, delivering high standards of workmanship while supporting junior engineers where required.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience within commercial or light industrial refrigeration and chillers
  • Exposure to food manufacturing or similar industrial environments
  • Valid F-Gas certification (essential)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider service team

Package & Benefits

  • Basic salary: Up to £44,000 (door-to-door, 40 hours)
  • Overtime: x1.5 weekdays / x2 Sundays & bank holidays
  • Bonus: Up to £5,000 annually (paid quarterly, KPI-based)
  • On-call: £200 per week + overtime (1 in 6 rotation)
