Job Description
Robert Walters is working in partnership with a leading technology services business. They are market leaders in providing bespoke services and solutions within specialist sectors across the UK.

Due to continued growth, they are keen to appoint an experienced Head of IT to be based out of the West Midlands offices on a hybrid basis, paying a salary range of Β£90,000 to Β£110,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Head of IT: Duties
/n
/n
- IT Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute IT strategy aligned with business goals; provide leadership for cloud services, infrastructure, and security initiatives.
/n
/n
/n
- Team Management: Lead and mentor technical teams, including service desk staff; ensure effective handling of incidents and tickets.
/n
/n
/n
- Corporate IT Operations: Oversee day-to-day IT operations, manage budgets, and ensure system performance and scalability.
/n
/n
/n
- Incident Management: Act as Incident Manager during disruptions; establish processes for response, resolution tracking, and root cause analysis.
/n
/n
/n
- IT Security: Implement robust security policies (ISO27001), monitor cybersecurity risks, and ensure GDPR compliance.
/n
/n
/n
- Networking & Infrastructure: Manage network design, implementation, and maintenance; optimize cloud services (Azure preferred) and hybrid infrastructure.
/n
/n
/n
- Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts with vendors and third-party providers; monitor performance against SLAs.
/n
/n
/n
- Development & Applications (Desirable): Collaborate on SaaS applications or internal software projects to support business needs.
/n
/n
Head of IT: Experience
/n
/n
- Proven experience in a Microsoft 365-centric environment (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams).
/n
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, cloud services (Azure preferred), and infrastructure management.
/n
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams effectively in high-pressure environments.
/n
- In-depth understanding of IT security operations (ISO27001) and GDPR compliance.
/n
- Track record in incident management using ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
/n
- Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
/n
- Familiarity with SaaS applications or development processes (desirable).
/n
