We are working with a leading international bank, looking to hire an experienced VP within its Securitisation Credit Risk function. This is a high-impact role sitting in the second line of defence, covering ABS/RMBS and related structured finance transactions originated across EMEA.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a credit approver for securitisation and asset-backed transactions (including RMBS, consumer ABS, auto, cards and trade receivables).
  • Perform independent credit analysis of underlying pools, structures, counterparties and counterpart risk mitigants.
  • Challenge and validate transaction structures, cashflow assumptions, stress scenarios and risk-return profiles.
  • Prepare and present credit proposals and recommendations to internal credit committees and senior management.
  • Monitor an existing portfolio of securitisation and structured-finance exposures, including limit management, early-warning indicators and watchlist actions.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of risk appetite, credit policies and underwriting standards for securitised products.
  • Work closely with front office, structuring, legal and risk methodology teams to ensure transactions meet the firm's risk, capital and regulatory requirements.

Candidate profile

  • Significant experience in credit risk or credit approval within a major bank or rating agency, with a clear focus on securitisation / structured finance / asset-backed products.
  • Strong understanding of RMBS/ABS structures, collateral pools, cashflow waterfalls, enhancements and typical covenant packages.
  • Proven experience writing and presenting detailed credit papers and defending recommendations in committee.
  • Solid grasp of relevant regulatory and capital frameworks for securitisation in Europe and the UK.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate key risks succinctly.
