This is a high-impact legal role at the heart of the organisation's future growth, with responsibility for providing legal advice and support on technology, Intellectual Property (IP), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and data protection matters affecting the business.
Partnering with executives, senior leaders, engineers, technologists, and legal colleagues across all divisions/business lines, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Negotiation of complex technology collaboration agreements
- Development of intellectual property terms
- Ensuring the Group's awareness of, and compliance with, emerging AI legislation
- Ensuring compliance with the Group's data protection framework and connected policies and procedures
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- 8 years+ qualified lawyer with significant in-house and top-tier law firm experience
- Substantial experience advising on technology matters, including technology development and collaboration agreements, grant funding, licensing
