As a Solutions Architect at a leading Healthcare Organisation, you\’ll take a lead role in designing and delivering robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure and cloud solutions that are critical to supporting their technology and business goals. Focusing on hybrid and cloud-first environments, particularly Azure and on‑premises integration, you\’ll define IT strategies, create technical roadmaps, and ensure successful project delivery.
The role
You will lead the design and delivery of modern, hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions in a Microsoft‑first environment, with a strong focus on Azure and automation. You\’ll translate business and technical requirements into robust, secure architectures, present roadmaps to the Technical Design Authority, and guide the delivery of strategic technology initiatives.
Key responsibilities
Define IT strategies for core infrastructure and cloud technologies, aligned to organisational goals.
Design end‑to‑end infrastructure solutions for complex, enterprise‑scale projects across Azure and on‑prem.
Present solution architectures and roadmaps to the Technical Design Authority and senior stakeholders.
Drive automation and integration using Infrastructure as Code (PowerShell, Python, BICEP, ARM) and DevOps tooling (GitHub, Octopus Deploy, CI/CD).
Skills and experience
Significant experience delivering large infrastructure projects in complex, hybrid cloud environments with strong regulatory and security requirements.
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure with hands‑on experience of IaC and BICEP/ARM‑based automated deployments.
Strong on‑prem skills: Windows Server, VMware, Exchange, networking (switches, firewalls), storage and SAN.
Scripting/automation using PowerShell and related tooling, plus DevOps / CI/CD experience (e.g. GitHub, Octopus Deploy).
Microsoft 365 administration and implementation experience.
Microsoft certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, M365 Certified Administrator, Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer).
Architecture certifications such as TOGAF or BCS.
