Robert Walters have partnered with a leading company in their field who are looking for an IT Security Engineer to join their Group IT team. You will be working closely with the IT Support team responding to Cyber Security Incidents and escalations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Resolve escalated IT issues, troubleshoot complex security-related hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Cyber Security Management: Monitor and maintain security infrastructure, conduct vulnerability assessments, and apply security patches.
  • Incident Response & Remediation: Lead cyber attack response efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate on incident handling.
  • Security Policy & Compliance: Enforce security policies, assist with audits, and ensure compliance with standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO).
  • System & Network Security: Manage network devices, design secure architectures, and maintain network security protocols.
  • Project Support & Consultancy: Implement IT infrastructure with security features, provide technical advice, and lead security projects.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Document vulnerabilities and incidents, maintain records, and prepare security reports for management.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in IT support, with 2+ years focused on cyber security in a senior role.
  • Experience with security tools (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS), network security, and system configurations.
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISM, CCNP Security.
  • Technical skills in IT infrastructure, cloud security (Azure, AWS), compliance frameworks, and operating systems.
  • Soft skills include strong problem-solving, communication, and the ability to work under pressure.
