International services businesses are looking for a Privacy & Commercial Counsel to join them for an immediate start to cover a period of high workflow for three months, with the possibility of extension. The position can be fully remote (though there is an option to work in the Central London offices if preferred). You must be based in, and have the right to work in, the UK.
Reporting to the General Counsel, you will play an integral role in the day-to-day activities of the Legal department, including:
- Acting as the key contact for data privacy queries across the business.
- Drafting, negotiating, and advising on data privacy clauses for a wide range of commercial agreements.
- Collaborating with teams across procurement, marketing, and sales to minimize privacy risks.
- Advising on the handling of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).
- Involvement in contracts related to platforms, IP licenses, T&Cs, SLAs, and partnerships, beyond data privacy.
You must have at least 7 years of PQE and a minimum of four years post-qualification experience at a recognized law firm (non-negotiable). Extensive data privacy experience and a background in general commercial contracts are required. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
You must be available to start immediately (August) with no significant upcoming leave.
