A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Compliance Analyst with a focus on conflicts to join their business acceptance team in London. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive, inclusive environment where collaboration and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do.

Role responsibilities:

  • Initiate and analyse conflict checks for new business using industry-leading tools while collaborating closely with Conflicts lawyers to resolve complex legal and commercial issues.
  • Conduct comprehensive client due diligence as well as anti-money laundering checks, ensuring proportionate scrutiny of counterparties when required.
  • Advise lawyers on new client acceptance procedures, client identification protocols, AML queries, sanctions considerations, and reputational risk assessments with support from Financial Crime specialists.
  • Review submitted matter forms thoroughly and establish appropriate information barriers to protect sensitive data across the firm.
  • Support the supervision and development of Analysts by providing timely constructive feedback and day-to-day guidance to foster their growth within the team.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new joiners to the Business Acceptance team, ensuring they are equipped with best practices and firm policies.
  • Provide expert guidance on client engagement terms as well as internal policies, procedures, and best practice recommendations to ensure compliance across all functions.

Person requirements:

  • Proven experience conducting conflict checks within a legal or professional services environment using industry-standard tools such as Intapp Conflicts.
  • Strong analytical capability demonstrated by assessing complex legal issues while balancing regulatory requirements with commercial considerations.
  • A solutions-focused approach that enables you to provide practical advice tailored to real-world scenarios encountered by lawyers during business acceptance processes.
  • Exceptional organisational skills allowing you to manage competing priorities efficiently under tight deadlines without compromising attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills enabling you to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels across multiple offices.
