We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Senior Commercial Analyst (Revenue) to join a fast-moving, innovative company in the telecommunications sector. This is a high-profile role within a small, motivated team, working closely with senior leadership. You will have the opportunity to get involved in all facets of the finance function, from revenue reporting to forecasting, analysis, and commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate, report, and analyse revenue streams and commission costs across retail, multi-retail, and wholesale customers.
- Co-own early-look reporting, month-end reporting, monthly forecasting, and the annual budgeting process.
- Oversee commission reporting for retail and wholesale channels, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreed schemes.
- Conduct monthly revenue analysis with senior management.
- Develop customer lifetime cost and revenue reports, including profitability by region, sales rep, and area manager.
- Analyse sales and customer trends to support new commission scheme creation, modelling revenue and cost impacts.
- Provide weekly trading updates to senior management.
- Reconcile commission data from external partners and create revenue assurance processes.
- Maintain in-house CRM systems and act as liaison with software development teams.
- Deliver regular reporting updates relevant to the business.
- Support other ad-hoc finance and commercial projects as required.
Experience required
- Proven commercial acumen with experience in a similar analytical or finance-facing role.
- Excellent Excel skills; experience with SQL, Python, or other data tools is advantageous.
- Strong communicator, able to explain complex financial data to non-finance colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
