Leading investment bank are looking for a Securities Lawyer to join their Debt & Equity Capital Markets team in London. This is a 12 month contract on a hybrid working model.

The postholder will be responsible for providing legal and regulatory advice as well as transactional support to the bank’s non-syndicated EMTN business. On a day to day basis, the remit entails:

1. Providing legal structuring advice for new, bespoke products (in the form of securities)
2. Legal risk sign-off for English law governed securities related matters by participating in business approval committees, including monitoring and assessing legal, regulatory and reputational risk in issuance structures. This involves working closely with structuring teams
3. Advising on regulatory developments affecting English law securities, distribution and issuance vehicles across Europe, including MiFID II, PRIIPS, BMR, PD/PR, etc, and equivalent regulation in the UK
4. Preparation of programme securities issuance documentation to a high standard (which may be EMTNs, Notes, Warrants or Certificates as well as third-party MTNs and SPV Issuers).

This role requires a minimum of 5 years’ PQE, although applications from all levels will be considered on merit. You must possess strong securities law experience, in particular working on securities issuance programmes.
