We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially aware Royalty Accountant to join the Royalties team within a fast-paced media environment. The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to interpret contracts, manage royalty data, and ensure compliance with industry agreements. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about media finance with a strong understanding of intellectual property (IP) and content exploitation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process and calculate royalty payments in accordance with contracts for broadcasters, talent, and third parties across multiple revenue streams.
- Maintain a centralised database of agreements, revenue shares, and royalty schedules.
- Manage and update the title roster with a focus on key series.
- Generate and issue royalty statements accurately and on time.
- Support the royalty cash forecast process by coordinating with Treasury and Commercial teams.
- Provide ad hoc royalty analysis as required.
- Interpret complex rights agreements and royalty clauses to ensure accurate processing.
- Ensure compliance with industry bodies such as Equity and PACT agreements.
- Collaborate with Legal and Business Affairs teams to resolve contract-related queries.
- Act as the primary liaison for assigned rights holders and talent representatives, managing end-to-end royalty communications professionally.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams (e.g., Finance, Legal) and external stakeholders (e.g., agents, broadcasters).
- Support audit processes by providing relevant royalty documentation as needed.
Knowledge Skills Required:
- Proven experience working in royalties; experience within the TV or media industry is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of high-volume royalty pay-outs, contract interpretation, and industry-standard practices related to royalties.
- A process-driven mindset with a proactive attitude toward change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong numerical skills.
- Confident team player who can also work independently when required.
