Shifts: Days-only Panama shift - 7am to 7pm
The Opportunity
You will be a key part of a high performing Engineering team, ensuring machinery runs reliably and efficiently across a busy production facility. With a major focus on breakdown response, fault finding and reliability improvement, this role offers genuine variety and the chance to work across the full engineering life cycle - from installation and commissioning to reactive and preventative maintenance.
What You Will Be Doing
- Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns to keep production moving.
- Conduct advanced diagnostics on high speed packaging and processing machinery.
- Deliver high quality reactive maintenance with a strong focus on safety and engineering excellence.
- Carry out root cause analysis and implement long term corrective solutions.
- Support and contribute to planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
- Work closely with Production to minimise downtime and meet agreed targets.
- Accurately log all breakdowns, repairs and corrective actions in the maintenance system.
- Champion safe working practices and site engineering standards.
- Get involved in continuous improvement projects aimed at boosting OEE and equipment reliability.
- Provide technical support and guidance to Apprentices during maintenance and breakdowns.
About You
- Ideally 5+ years in an FMCG or fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding skills.
- HNC/HND desirable but not essential.
- Proactive, self motivated and resilient with a can do attitude.
- Confident communicator who works well under pressure.
- Flexible with shift patterns, including weekends/bank holidays.
