DATA PROTECTION SPECIALIST
Rate: up to £550 per day (PAYE)
Location: London (2 days per week in the office)
Contract: 12 months
Our client is seeking a Data Protection Specialist to join their team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global leader whose products are integral to modern life. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, providing proactive advice and guidance on data privacy matters relevant to large and cross-jurisdiction business activities. This role offers the chance to engage with business stakeholders across various regions, helping them implement Data Privacy policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with the Group Data Privacy Policy.

What you\’ll do:
As a Data Protection Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the existing team in all areas of data privacy and data protection. You will be responsible for managing privacy risks in each of our global regions, working closely with business stakeholders to help them implement the Data Privacy policies and procedures. Your role will also involve managing data subject rights requests, reporting and assisting with data breaches, as well as collaborating with business units to develop corrective action plans for identified privacy compliance issues.
* Support the Data Protection Team in maintaining, developing and implementing the company\’s privacy program.
* Undertake privacy assessments, DPIAs and LIAs.
* Manage the privacy-by-design and privacy impact assessment processes in close collaboration with business stakeholders.
* Update Privacy and Cookie Notices.
* Manage data subject rights requests including DSARs.
* Report and assist with data breaches.
* Monitor and ensure that fit-for-purpose records of the company\’s data processing activities are in place.
* Collaborate with business units and technology areas to develop corrective action plans for identified privacy compliance issues.
