INSURANCE – DATA BUSINESS ANALYST
Rate: £550-£600 outside IR35

Our client is seeking a Finance Data Business Analyst to join their team in London. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in financial reporting, particularly with IFRS17 and UK GAAP standards, to support a change project. The successful candidate will focus on the development of critical data elements (CDEs), data lineage, and comprehensive data documentation. They will work closely with the Project Manager on the Head of Reporting for IFRS17 and UK GAAP outputs and the related teams to enhance and streamline data quality and compliance.

* Focus on the development of critical data elements (CDEs), data lineage, and comprehensive data documentation.
* Work closely with the Project Manager on the Head of Reporting for IFRS17 and UK GAAP outputs.
What you\’ll do:
As a Finance Data Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting a change project focused on financial reporting. Your primary responsibilities will include defining and documenting Critical Data Elements (CDEs) related to IFRS17 reporting requirements. You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify and align on data definitions, transformations, and usage across financial reports. Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and availability will be a key part of your role. You will also develop and maintain data lineage for reporting and accounting processes. Acting as a liaison between various teams, you will contribute to the design of data quality metrics and controls.
* Define and document Critical Data Elements (CDEs) related to IFRS17 reporting requirements.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and align on data definitions, transformations, and usage across financial reports.
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability by establishing and maintaining robust data documentation.
* Develop and maintain data lineage for reporting and accounting processes.
* Act as a liaison between the reporting, accounting, and data management teams.
* Contribute to the design of data quality metrics and controls.
