CATEGORY MANAGER (Commerical Advisor)

Salary: Competitive

Location: London (1-2 days per week in the office)

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Category Manager to join Robert Walters as a Workforce Consultant. As an Employed Workforce Consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters and will be deployed on an interim or project basis into our clients\’ organisations, in return we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional accreditations.

This role will focus on efficient and effective commercial activities relating to the Information Management (IM) global category. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to improved business performance through commercial agreements, enabling innovation, supplier partnering and internal stakeholder collaboration.

What you\’ll do:

As a Category Manager, your role will be pivotal in supporting the Information Management (IM) global category. You will be responsible for executing sourcing and contracting activities, maintaining relationships with strategic suppliers, engaging internal stakeholders, renegotiating commercial agreements, providing commercial support for global framework agreement renegotiations, executing contract management activities, supporting contract administrative duties, and providing regular progress reports. Your commitment to these responsibilities will ensure the continued success of our client\’s operations.

* Support the development of IM sourcing and contracting strategies and plans through data gathering and analysis

* Execute allocated sourcing and contracting activities in line with company policies and standards

* Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers, driving step change in value and delivering innovative solutions

* Engage and influence internal stakeholders to drive implementation of sourcing and contracting strategies

* Re-negotiate commercial agreements to support future business needs and protect value delivery

* Provide commercial support with regards to re-negotiations of global framework agreements

* Execute allocated contract management activities, including approvals and execution process (DocuSign) and contract administration (Ariba)

* Support with the effective execution of contracts administrative duties e.g. price files, variations and amendments

* Provide regular progress reporting on key activities and associated risks, issues, etc.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Category Managerr role brings a wealth of skills and qualifications. You possess an undergraduate qualification at Bachelor degree level or equivalent. You have practical experience in a relevant field, especially software. Your good technical knowledge across the SC value chain sets you apart from others. Your strategic sourcing skills are complemented by your contracting skills and category management skills. Experience in IT Services, Data Analytics, Cloud would be beneficial.
