A leading FMCG business based in the Oldham area are looking for a Production Planner to join their team. As Production Planner, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining production plans that balance customer demand, capacity, and inventory targets. Working closely with manufacturing, procurement, and customer teams, you will play a critical role in delivering OTIF performance and driving continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain short- and medium-term production plans aligned to demand forecasts Ensure optimal utilisation of production capacity while minimising downtime and changeovers Manage stock levels of finished goods and WIP to meet service and working capital targets Liaise with procurement to ensure raw materials availability in line with production schedules Monitor and adjust plans in response to demand changes, supply issues, or operational constraints Track key KPIs including OTIF, schedule adherence, and inventory levels Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, logistics, and commercial teams Identify and implement process improvements across planning and scheduling About the person: Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply planning within an FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and planning processes Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Proficient in Excel and data analysis To apply for the role please send your CV to Robert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates TPBN1_UKTJ
