We are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation in the utilities sector for an experienced Planning Scheduling Manager to lead their operational planning department. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and customer-focused delivery of field activities across multiple workstreams while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day planning and scheduling operations across planned, reactive, compliance, repair, and connections activities.
- Optimise workforce utilisation and resource allocation across depots, geographic areas, and delivery partners.
- Manage forecasting to support workforce planning, backlog reduction, and service delivery.
- Monitor productivity, lead times, SLA performance, and scheduling effectiveness while addressing risks proactively.
- Develop and coach Planning Scheduling teams to deliver high performance and foster a positive team culture.
- Drive improvements in planning processes, workforce management strategies, and operational efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, delivery partners, contractors, and external stakeholders.
