Payroll Manager
Location: Cardiff
Role Type: Permanent
Work Setup: Hybrid – 1 day in office per week
Salary: £45K – 60K

Who You Will Work With
Our client is a British multinational company in the financial services and asset management sector. They provide a variety of products and services catering to both individual and institutional clients and is recognized for its commitment to social responsibility and sustainability.
What you'll do:
* Ensure timely, accurate payments and HMRC reporting with proper controls, confirming all tasks are completed and team engagement remains high.
* Oversee escalation and resolution of complex issues, ensuring proper logging, root cause analysis, and continual improvement.
* Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and training on processes, ensuring process documentation, change control, and regular skills matrix reviews.
* Oversee and develop the team to deliver business objectives, ensuring progress is documented and policies are followed.
* Embed Conduct Risk in daily operations, ensuring processes and controls consistently deliver good customer outcomes.
What you'll bring:
* Knowledge of the Payroll and Pensions industry
* Proven experience managing high-volume pension payrolls (10,000+)
* Proven ability to prioritise and manage queries whilst considering team performance and activities
* Ability to analyze and interpret financial processes
* Proven ability to build relationships and influence effectively in complex environments.
* Proactive team player with strong people management skills, skilled in troubleshooting and issue resolution.
