I am partnering with a growing software company based in South Manchester/London, who are looking for a HR Generalist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of HR responsibilities while taking ownership of the payroll process.
The Role
Reporting into the People Lead, you'll play a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on payroll accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the end-to-end monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Maintaining and updating HR systems, ensuring employee data is accurate and up to date
- Managing contract changes, including salary updates, promotions, and working pattern adjustments
- Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and exit administration
- Handling day-to-day HR administration and employee queries
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and employment legislation
- Producing HR reports and supporting audits where required
- Collaborating with finance and external payroll providers (if applicable)
- HR Generalist duties including ER

- Proven experience in a HR/People and Payroll-focused role
- Confident managing payroll processes with strong attention to detail
- Highly proficient with HR systems and payroll software
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable handling sensitive data with discretion
