Our client based in Staffordshire is in need of a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join their team. The role is paying up to £45,000 (DOE) and is fully office based.
What you'll do:
- Prepare monthly management accounts with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring all financial information is delivered on time for internal review.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by gathering relevant data, analysing trends, and collaborating with other departments to ensure comprehensive financial planning.
- Support the Financial Controller by providing insightful analysis on variances between actuals and budgeted figures, helping to inform strategic decision-making across the business.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards at all times.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes by identifying areas for efficiency gains and implementing best practices within the Sales Finance team.
- Liaise with auditors during annual audits by preparing required documentation and responding promptly to queries, supporting a smooth audit process.
- Produce regular reports for senior management that clearly communicate key financial metrics, risks, and opportunities in an accessible format.
- Collaborate with colleagues across different teams to share knowledge, resolve issues, and foster a culture of co-operation within the finance function.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as required by management, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to contribute wherever needed.
- Ensure all deadlines are met consistently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism in every aspect of your work.
What you bring:
- Proven experience from previous positions where you have managed month-end processes, contributed meaningfully to budgeting cycles, and provided valuable insights through variance analysis.
- A recognised accountancy qualification (such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or significant progress towards one is highly desirable for this position.
- Excellent analytical skills with proven ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills that enable you to build positive relationships across teams while fostering collaboration within the finance department.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software packages commonly used in accounting environments.
