One of our valued clients is seeking a Management Accountant to join their Finance team at the Peterborough fulfilment centre. This role offers you the opportunity to work within an experienced and supportive team, where your growth and development are actively encouraged. Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in Peterborough Office Per Week)
Job Responsibilities:
- You will report on EU Logistics and Customer Service costs by preparing detailed financial statements and analyses that inform key business decisions.
- You will conduct thorough financial analysis to support decision making processes across supply chain operations, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all reporting.
- You will partner with various business units to provide insightful commentary on financial performance, helping operational teams understand trends and areas for improvement.
- You will run daily productivity and spend reports that highlight efficiencies and potential cost savings within logistics and customer service functions.
- You will manage the monthly close process including accruals and prepayments, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date and compliant with internal controls.
- You will support financial control activities by overseeing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining robust documentation for audit purposes.
- You will monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics finance, providing recommendations for improvement based on data-driven insights.
- You will participate in budgeting and forecasting exercises with detailed analysis that supports strategic planning for supply chain operations.
- You will identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and implement improvements that enhance efficiency across finance functions.
- You will provide line management for a Junior Finance Analyst, offering guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their professional development.
Experience Required:
- Finalist accountant status in ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent is essential for this position as it demonstrates your technical expertise in accounting standards.
- Experience with Oracle EBS, MicroStrategy, Hyperion, Qlik along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel enables you to efficiently manage complex data sets and reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical skills paired with commercial acuity allow you to interpret business drivers effectively within a retail supply chain context.
- Excellent organisational abilities ensure you can multi-task across various projects while maintaining high standards of accuracy in all deliverables.
