Our client based in Leicestershire is recruiting for a Cash Allocations Clerk. The role is paying circa £27,000 per annum DOE, and requires 1 day a week on-site (potentially less after training).
What you'll do:
- Allocate global customer receipts efficiently and accurately across multiple accounts to ensure timely processing of payments.
- Assist with bank reconciliations by matching transactions and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage PayPal and other alternative payment allocations, ensuring all incoming funds are correctly posted and tracked.
- Support the direct debit process by monitoring scheduled payments and addressing any issues that arise promptly.
- Post bad debt provisions in accordance with company policy to reflect accurate financial positions within the ledger.
- Support collections activities by placing accounts on stop when necessary and communicating effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Take card payments over the phone in a polite and secure manner, ensuring compliance with relevant procedures.
- Contribute to team projects aimed at standardising processes, sharing ideas for improvement and helping implement best practices.
- Work collaboratively within a global team across different time zones, fostering strong inter-personal connections and open communication.
