Our client is seeking an Operational Risk & Resilience Manager to join their dynamic team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and embedding consistent operational risk and resilience frameworks, facilitating ongoing assessment and testing activities, and ensuring resilience risks are identified and reported. This role requires understanding of capital markets business, and experience within an FS operational risk/operational resilience department., As an Operational Risk & Resilience Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s approach to risk management. Your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and embedding consistent operational risk and resilience frameworks that aligns with industry best practices. You will facilitate ongoing assessment activities with business owners, ensuring that their processes remain current and that impact tolerances are regularly reviewed. Additionally, you will deliver operational resilience training, develop exercise/testing programmes, and work across various functions/business units to identify shared critical dependencies. Your role will also involve assisting in rolling out the Operational Risk Framework across the organisation, overseeing the recording and management of Operational Risk Events, and monitoring adherence to the operational risk policy.

  • Design, develop, and embed consistent operational risk & resilience frameworks

  • Facilitate ongoing assessment and testing activities with business owners to demonstrate and report on the ability to operate within agreed impact tolerances

  • Work closely with business owners to ensure that their processes remain current, and impact tolerances are regularly reviewed

  • Define, implement, and take responsibility for effective monitoring and reporting of associated risks and operational effectiveness

  • Deliver operational resilience training, develop exercise/testing programmes and work across various functions/business units to identify shared critical dependencies

  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory requirements to address evolving risks

  • Assist in rolling out the Operational Risk Framework across the organisation

  • Assist the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process across the entities

  • Assist in overseeing and challenging the business with respect to recording and management of Operational Risk Events

  • Monitor adherence to the operational risk policy and framework
