Fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded newly qualified lawyer to join a small but supportive in-house legal team.

Previous insurance experience is not required but an interest in the insurance industry will be needed.

We are looking for an NQ who is keen to pursue in-house opportunities and who has an interest to learn more about the insurance market.

If candidates have completed a seat in insurance that would be highly preferable but is not required.

Experience of negotiating and drafting commercial contracts would be highly advantageous.

The role itself will be a broad in-house role offering exposure to underwriting, claims, commercial contracts, corporate matters, compliance and complaints, with particular focus on the legal issues arising in the Lloyd's market.

A key part of the role will involve supporting underwriting teams and claims handlers on (re)insurance law issues, including policy wordings, coverage questions, claims issues .

You will also assist with the drafting, review and negotiation of insurance-related contracts, including binding authority agreements, terms of business agreements, DCA agreements and other distribution or service arrangements.
