We are supporting a prestigious and international organisation in their search for a Financial Controller who can support them through a busy year-end period on an interim basis. This role will see you through until at least March 2026 and requires a technically strong accountant who is very familiar with IFRS and the preparation of group financial statements.
Responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing detailed and accurate financial statements for various entities within the organisation, ensuring full compliance with IFRS standards and internal policies.
- Supporting the delivery of the Annual Report by compiling comprehensive financial briefings for key meetings and stakeholders across different departments.
- Working closely with the Big 4 when it comes to overseas operations.
- Managing relationships with external auditors by coordinating audit files, resolving queries efficiently, and maintaining strict adherence to agreed timetables.
- Working alongside senior leadership and operational teams, providing key financial insights and supporting strategic decision-making during the busy year-end period.
- Ensuring timely completion of statutory accounts and reports, contributing to the organisation's reputation for reliability and transparency in financial disclosures.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior members of the finance team as required, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Our client is looking for a chartered accountant (ACA, FCA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or FCCA). The role is on site 2 days per week and is paying c£500pd.
