Robert Walters is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation in Milton Keynes to recruit a Credit Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced credit professional to play a key role in managing cash flow, reducing aged debt, and supporting the wider finance team. Working within a collaborative and supportive environment, you will be responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring outstanding balances are collected efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and approve credit applications for new and existing customers.
  • Set up and maintain customer accounts within NetSuite.
  • Review and manage customer credit limits based on risk assessments and available credit insurance.
  • Monitor customer creditworthiness using external credit reference tools.
  • Proactively collect outstanding invoices and ensure payments are received within agreed terms.
  • Manage aged debt and follow up overdue accounts via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements where appropriate.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice queries and payment disputes.
  • Work closely with Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Teams and Contract Managers to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Escalate high-risk accounts as necessary.
