This is a broad, high‑impact role covering all areas of finance with meaningful involvement in an upcoming transaction/exit.
As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in driving commercial performance through high‑quality MI, insightful analysis, and business partnering with divisional leaders across the Group. You will act as the face of finance, influencing decision making and supporting the senior leadership team in a fast‑paced, growth‑led environment. This position is suited to a finance leader who is passionate about developing and coaching their team, enhancing processes, and enabling automation to improve accuracy, efficiency and scalability.
The Role- Lead the day‑to‑day finance function, managing and developing a team of eight.
- Build strong partnerships with senior leaders across the Group, collaborating to drive ongoing revenue growth and EBITDA performance.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including the PE investors, in preparation for (and throughout) a future exit process.
- Oversee the timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts.
- Own the budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles, including variance analysis and reforecasting.
- Lead cash‑flow forecasting and ensure accurate P&L performance.
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives, creating efficiencies and strengthening the finance function.
- Coach, mentor and develop the finance team, spanning transactional, part‑qualified and qualified professionals.
- Champion process and systems enhancements across both finance and operations.
- Support system improvements and ensure robust financial controls are maintained.
- Manage the external audit process, ensuring statutory accounts are completed accurately and filed in line with required standards.
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
- Background in audit, ideally gained within a large firm.
- Proven leadership capability, with experience managing and developing teams.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively up to board level.
- Demonstrated track record of driving growth within a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Resilient and confident under pressure, able to work to tight deadlines.
- Broad technical and commercial skill set, spanning business partnering, management reporting and audit.
- Collaborative team player, committed to achieving departmental and wider business objectives.
- Experience within a PE‑backed environment is highly desirable.
