What you'll do

  • Assess control design and operating effectiveness through testing, walkthroughs and process reviews.
  • Identify and document operational risks, control weaknesses, process gaps, root causes and business impacts.
  • Maintain control inventories, risk assessments and assurance documentation across key operational areas.
  • Monitor remediation plans, ensuring identified issues are appropriately managed and resolved.
  • Partner with business stakeholders on thematic reviews, governance activities and strengthening risk management practices.
  • Provide evidence-based risk reporting and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation and overall control effectiveness.

What you bring

  • Experience in audit, risk, controls, compliance or financial services operations.
  • Background within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Knowledge of FCA requirements and operational risk frameworks.
  • Experience with control assessments, testing, walkthroughs or assurance reviews.
  • Strong analytical, documentation and risk assessment skills.
  • Experience supporting governance, risk reporting and remediation, with strong stakeholder management skills.
