An established and growing organisation in Manchester city centre is seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working in a varied role within a collaborative and purpose-driven environment.
The Role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of the finance function and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting and improving processes. Key responsibilities will include:
- Management accounts support
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Payroll support
- Grants and funding reporting
- Sales and commercial reporting
- Supporting system and process improvements
- Assisting with purchase order implementation
- Sage Line 50 finance administration
About You
The business is looking for someone who can quickly integrate into the team and operate with minimal supervision. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience within a charity or not-for-profit environment
- Strong reconciliation and month-end experience
- Experience using Sage Line 50
- A practical and proactive approach
- Excellent communication skills
- QBE or AAT
