Job Description

My client, one of the North West's most reputable and successful employers, are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to come and join their European Accounting team.

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Management Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gather, validate, and report financial information, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in line with internal and external standards.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving operational effectiveness, process efficiency, and maintaining high standards of data accuracy. With strong stakeholder management skills, you'll share insights in a clear and concise manner while fostering a robust financial control culture.

What you'll do:

  • Deliver high-quality outputs effectively while ensuring personal and professional development
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of the financial statements to meet Internal and External Reporting requirements
  • Accurately account for P&L and Balance Sheet items within your team's remit
  • Work closely with Analysts within your team across multiple European countries with differing accounting standards and practices
  • Manage internal finance and business stakeholders to ascertain and meet their requirements
  • Ensure consistency, reliability, and efficiency of information collection, validation, and aggregation processes across multiple sources
  • Lead or contribute to a variety of projects and initiatives as required
  • Drive initiatives to raise standards and improve operational effectiveness through process, technology, or people capability development

What you bring:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Previous experience in a management accounting position
  • Advanced understanding of Data Communication
  • Ability to build Effective Relationships & Use Judgement
  • Proven ability to deliver results
  • Professional Expertise in Financial Services highly desirable
  • Effective and proportionate financial control skills
  • Understanding of IFRS, relevant law, regulation, or listing requirements
