This range is provided by Robert Walters. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

Global services provider is looking for a Senior M&A Counsel on the basis of a 3 month contract. This role is based in Central London (3 days per week in the office) but will be covering deals taking place in the Middle East so this role requires someone with experience of leading deals in that region

Reporting into the General Counsel and working closely with the Corporate Development function, the M&A Counsel will play a key role in driving forward the company\’s ambitious acquisition plans.

Your involvement will be at both the pre and post-acquisition stages including negotiating all relevant documentation, running due diligence rooms, filing corporate records, managing external counsel, and advising senior internal stakeholders at all stages of the transaction lifestyle.

The client believes that the successful candidate will require at least 7 years\’ PQE although applications from all levels will be considered on merit (the more experience, the better). This role needs someone for whom corporate/M&A work has been the dominant feature of their career. Ideally you will have experience from a top tier law firm. Ideally you will have worked for a business in the Middle East, however applications from candidates who have worked on transactions in that region but from London (or elsewhere) will still be considered. But for candidates in the latter category, it will need to be a significant volume of experience.

There will sometimes be the requirement to be flexible on working hours to fit in with Middle East time zones. There will also be the occasional need to travel – not likely to be on a regular basis but when it does happen it will probably be at short notice. Please only apply if you are able to comply with these requirements.

This position requires someone who is available to start immediately. The role is Inside IR35 so unfortunately limited company operators cannot be considered. You must have the right to work in the UK as sponsorship cannot be provided.
