The Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Solution Architect (Openshift/Kubernetes) to join Robert Walters as a Consultant. As a Consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters and will be deployed on an assignment within our clients' organisations, in return we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional support. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a global business, providing top-tier service to our blue chip clients.
What You'll Do
- Define enterprise target architecture across container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes), infrastructure, networking, and automation.
- Design resilient, secure Kubernetes platforms incorporating container networking (ingress, egress, load balancing, SDN) plus reusable patterns and guardrails.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code standards via Terraform, Ansible, and Git workflows, seamlessly integrated with CI/CD for uniformity.
- Shape and support Internal Developer Platform (IDP) to facilitate microservices and cloud-native applications.
- Align on-premise VMware setups with hybrid/public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Deliver architectural direction to Linux, Network, and Automation teams, spearheading governance, reviews, and key decisions.
- Guarantee solutions comply with regulatory, security, and compliance standards, enabling efficient workload deployment.
What You Bring
- Extensive experience in platform engineering, Internal Developer Platform (IDP) development, and DevSecOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with building or designing Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms.
- Proven experience delivering Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
- Exposure to VMware and hybrid environments.
- Deep understanding of networking in containerised systems.
- Experience in infrastructure, automation, and cloud integration.
