Our client are looking for an experienced legal professional to join their established legal team in a wider dynamic, collaborative environment as the business continues on its passionate journey to reinvent the future of co-living. In particular they are seeking someone who can:
- Assist on/completing property transactions of HMO genre relating to freeholds, leaseholds, residential landlord and tenant matters and general research with and without debt financing
- Perform all legal and property due diligence in relation to residential conveyancing transactions including but not limited to amending and preparing legal agreements/documents and notices; raising property and land registry searches; completing SDLT returns; registering documents at the Land Registry; dealing with post completion matters to include regularising the HMO position of the asset and maintain filing of data/deeds library/ completion bibles of all acquisitions; working alongside our data team to procure the same
- Coordinate, support and work hand in hand with our external advisors and internal Finance, Investment and Operations teams in respect of Property due diligence including review of tenancies and statutory compliance
Essential skills & experience:
Candidates with the following professional backgrounds/qualifications would be encouraged to apply.
- Qualified Lawyer
- Licenced Conveyancer
- Chartered Legal Executive
Experience should include:
- Solid background in residential conveyancing and ability to perform all stages of Freehold / Leasehold property transactions
- Excellent negotiating, drafting, written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of working independently, efficiently, and managing diverse matters simultaneously and meeting deadlines
