We're recruiting on behalf of an innovative FMCG business seeking a Product Trainer & Consumer Care Specialist to become the technical expert behind its growing product portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in Research & Development (R&D), Product Development, Chemistry or a technical consumer products environment who enjoys working with people and wants to use their expertise in a more varied, customer-facing role. You'll bridge the gap between product innovation and the customer experience, delivering engaging product training, supporting consumers, collaborating with retailers and feeding valuable insights back to the business to influence future product development.

The Role

  • Become the subject matter expert across the company's product portfolio.
  • Deliver engaging product training to internal teams, retailers and external partners.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations, both in person and virtually.
  • Respond to consumer enquiries, providing practical product advice and technical support.
  • Create training materials, product guides and educational content.
  • Build strong relationships with retailers, distributors and customers to improve product understanding.
  • Develop and support an online customer community where users can access expert advice and share experiences.
  • Work closely with the Research & Development and wider commercial teams, ensuring customer feedback helps shape future product improvements and innovation.
  • Support new product launches by communicating product features, benefits and best practice.
  • Keep up to date with new product developments, industry trends and technical knowledge.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines technical knowledge with excellent communication skills. You could currently be working in:

  • Research & Development (R&D)
  • Product Development
  • Technical Support
  • Product Training
  • Technical Customer Service
  • Chemistry or Scientific Research
  • Specialist Cleaning, Household Care, Laundry Care or another FMCG manufacturing environment

You'll also have:

  • Previous experience within an R&D, Product Development or technical role.
  • The ability to explain technical information clearly to a range of audiences.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Confidence delivering training sessions and product demonstrations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • A genuine passion for learning and becoming a product expert.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build relationships across customers, retailers and internal teams.
