Robert Walters is partnering with a leading global logistics organisation to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for their Stoke-on-Trent operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performance engineering team responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety and efficiency of fast-moving automated equipment.
The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will support the smooth running of critical sortation and material-handling machinery through planned maintenance, fault-finding and rapid response to breakdowns. Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance to minimise downtime
- Completing planned preventative maintenance and safety checks
- Diagnosing faults using electrical schematics and PLC logic understanding
- Coordinating tools and resources to complete repairs safely and efficiently
- Keeping accurate maintenance records and reporting equipment issues
- Communicating effectively with Operations, Control Room and management teams
We are looking for a proactive and organised engineer with:
- City & Guilds (or equivalent) electrical or mechanical engineering qualification
- Knowledge of 16th/17th Edition wiring regulations
- Strong background in electrical/mechanical maintenance
- Ability to interpret electrical diagrams
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment
- Understanding of health & safety requirements
- A flexible approach to shifts
- Full UK driving licence
