Robert Walters have partnered with a global service based organisation, who are seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to take the lead on accounting, tax, and compliance activities across two major UK entities. This is a technically focussed role within an established but growing, offering the opportunity to shape processes, develop a small team, and support the business through its ambitious growth journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Own financial reporting accuracy, integrity, and timeliness for 2 large UK entities (likely to expand due to predicted acquisition).
- Oversee tax and regulatory compliance, including corporate tax submissions, VAT, audits, and statutory filings.
- Design and implement robust internal controls and standardised workflows to drive efficiency.
- Optimise working capital performance and cash flow forecasting.
- Support the Head of Financial Control with ERP migration projects (Business Central) and ensure system excellence.
- Support and lead on any M&A activity where appropriate, and develop a small team.
Experience And Qualifications
- Professional Qualification: ACA , CA or ACCA qualified is essential.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting, reporting, internal controls.
- Pre-existing knowledge of ERP systems would be advantageous.
- Experience working within a multi-level role, the ability to both work at a high technical level, but also support with hands on accounting when needed.
- Mindset: Proactive, hands-on problem solver with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
