Our client is an established UK-based property investment and development business with a substantial portfolio of commercial real estate. We're looking for a financial accountant to join a Group Financial Reporting team on a six-month contract, providing hands-on support during a busy reporting period, including a finance systems project.
This role will play a key part in delivering high-quality quarterly reporting and assisting with a range of ad-hoc finance tasks as they arise.
The position will contribute to both management and statutory reporting, including quarterly management accounts and the production of the Annual Report. You'll be joining a collaborative team environment where flexibility, accuracy, and a proactive approach are essential.
The role reports directly to the Head of Financial Reporting.
Key Responsibilities

Preparation of various sections of the quarterly consolidated management accounts, which could include property expenditure, intercompany, fixed assets, other income, prepayments and accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Assist in the preparation of the Annual Report, mainly involving the preparation of various disclosures, proofreading, ensuring consistency within reports, and liaising with auditors.

Provide assistance with day-to-day finance matters and transactional work as and when required.

Undertake other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Desirable

Experience of working in a finance team within the property or real estate sector.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and/or Oracle NetSuite accounting packages.

Experience of producing management and financial accounts to tight deadlines.

1-4 years post-qualified experience from a recognised accounting qualification, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
