I am currently working with the dispute resolution team of a top US law firm looking to recruit a Commodities Disputes Senior Associate / Counsel into their Tier 1 banded team. The successful candidate must have expertise in disputes in the commodities/energy and natural resources sector, both High Court litigation and international arbitration (particularly ICC, LCIA and SIAC seated arbitrations). They must be at least UK qualified.

The work involves a wide variety of commodities, including oil, gas/LNG, metals, iron ore, coal and agricultural commodities. The specifics of the disputes are many and varied, but recurring themes include fraud, sanctions, insurance (marine or credit), bills of lading, letters of credit and joint venture disputes.
