A leading global Investment Bank is looking for an AML Manager (Investigations/high risk clients) to join their team on an initial 12-month contract. Paying up to Β£350 a day umbrella with 4 days a week onsite in the London office.
The role will focus heavily on Enhanced Due Diligence, investigations and open-source intelligence (OSINT) across high-risk clients. You will be responsible for conducting detailed investigations, identifying material financial crime and reputational risks, and producing high-quality written assessments to support senior management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed high-risk client and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) assessments.
- Investigate and assess Source of Wealth, Source of Revenue and Source of Funds.
- Undertake open-source research / OSINT, adverse media and broader investigative research.
- Identify and assess AML, PEP, sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, tax, geopolitical and reputational risks.
- Develop appropriate client risk ratings and clearly document findings and rationale.
- Produce detailed, well-structured written reports for senior management review.
- Engage with internal Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders to assess and mitigate identified risks.
- Ensure investigations and assessments are completed in line with AML policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Key Experience
- Strong experience within AML, EDD, financial crime investigations or client risk.
- Proven experience conducting complex investigations and investigative research, ideally involving high-risk individuals or businesses.
- Strong OSINT / open-source research and adverse media capabilities.
- Experience assessing Source of Wealth / Source of Funds / Source of Revenue.
- Excellent report writing skills, with the ability to turn complex research into clear, evidence-based conclusions.
- Strong understanding of AML/CTF, PEP, sanctions, ABAC and wider financial crime risks.
- Candidates from specialist corporate intelligence, investigative due diligence, business intelligence, risk intelligence or investigations consultancies would be particularly relevant.
- Strong analytical skills and the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
