An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to join an established manufacturing business supporting high-reliability aerospace components within a highly regulated environment. This position will play a key role in supporting quality assurance activities across the full product lifecycle, from development through to production and final release. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive compliance, continuous improvement, and robust quality processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies
- Support non-conformance investigations and quality improvement activities
- Conduct internal product and process audits
- Raise and manage supplier quality notifications
- Support supplier quality audits and ongoing supplier performance activities
- Assist with maintaining and improving the Quality Management System
- Analyse quality data and support KPI development
- Promote quality awareness and compliance across the business
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment
- Conversant with problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5Why, RCCA etc.)
- Strong working knowledge of AS9100
- Experience with AS9102 standards would be advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently
