Contractors required for a 6‑12 month programme with a leading client in the Merseyside area. The programme involves designing and implementing a new Azure‑Fabric based data lake, focusing on advanced analytics and business intelligence. The role requires expertise in data engineering, data architecture, particularly with medallion architecture and data fabric design patterns.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a new Azure‑Fabric based data lake, utilising medallion (Silver to Gold layer) architecture and data fabric.
- Ensure the platform supports advanced analytics and business intelligence through best practices in data management and architecture.
- Lead the full end‑to‑end process of an MS Fabric transformation project.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to model, integrate, govern, and secure the data lake.
- Migrate data from on‑premise systems to cloud platforms, maintaining data quality and governance.
- Communicate progress and technical decisions clearly to stakeholders.
Key Skills
- Expertise in Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric, and medallion architecture.
- Strong knowledge of data lake architecture, modelling, integration, governance, and security.
- Experience in data quality and governance practices.
- Proven experience migrating data from on‑premise systems to cloud platforms.
