I'm delighted to be working alongside one of our longest-standing clients as they seek an interim Financial/Management Accountant for one of their sites in Barnsley. This contract will roll for a minimum of 6 months. This Accountant assignment requires a technically-minded, all-encompassing contractor who can hit the ground running. Somebody with a well-rounded SME type background would be ideal.
Key duties will include:
- Preparing Financial Statements: Compile accurate income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Maintaining Financial Records: Ensure all financial transactions are recorded properly and systematically for transparency and compliance.
- Ensuring Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to legal, tax, and financial regulations, including filing statutory reports and meeting audit requirements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic planning and financial decision-making.
In order to be considered for this role you will:
- Be a fully-qualified accountant (ideally ACA/ACCA - though CIMA will be considered)
- Have controls experience
- Be able to be based on-site the majority of the time, there may be an option for one day working from home per week following training
- Be able to handle a fast-paced, changing environment
