Job Description
Job Title: Interim Employment Solicitor
Contract Length: 3 Months (Ongoing)
Location: Dudley β 3 days in office and 2 days working from home
Hourly Rate: Competitive & negotiable
Key responsibilities of an Interim Employment Solicitor:
- Provide expert legal advice on a range of non-contentious employment law issues, including contracts, disciplinary matters, grievances, redundancy, TUPE, and tribunal claims
- Assist with contentious employment matters, ranging from initial fixed fee appointments to representing clients in employment tribunal proceedings. This includes issuing employment tribunal claims and dealing with ACAS Early Conciliation
- Support both individuals and businesses (small and large) with practical, commercially focused employment law solutions
- Assist with settlement agreements and negotiation with the other side
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to deliver excellent client service
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years PQE
- Strong technical knowledge of employment law (both contentious and non-contentious)
- Experience representing clients in employment tribunals and with ACAS Early Conciliation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach
