Robert Walters is partnering with a leading global audit, tax and consulting network to recruit an Accounting Advisory Manager into their expanding Finance Function Support team based in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-growing national team supporting private businesses, not-for-profit organisations, and trusts across the Southern region. You will act as a trusted finance partner to a varied portfolio, delivering high-quality accounting and advisory support while helping clients navigate complex reporting and compliance requirements.
The Role
- Lead the preparation and review of annual financial statements under UK GAAP (FRS 102 and FRS 105) for a diverse client portfolio, including not-for-profit organisations and trusts
- Act as the primary controller and trusted adviser for clients' annual compliance and day-to-day accounting matters
- Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, overseeing delivery, budgets, billing, and timelines
- Build and maintain strong client relationships as the main point of contact
- Collaborate closely with audit and tax teams to deliver seamless, high-quality outcomes
- Train, mentor, and support junior team members, contributing to team development and performance
- Identify opportunities to add value through advisory and specialist services
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to internal knowledge sharing
What you bring:
- ACA qualification
- At least 2 years' post-qualification experience in professional practice
- Essential experience preparing accounts for not-for-profit organisations and trusts
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102 and FRS 105)
- Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members
