Job Description

~~Robert Walters – Group Finance Manager – Permanent – Fully Remote (occasional Birmingham) – £55,000 – £65,000 per annum~~

Our client, a fast-growing and financially stable business, is looking for a Group Finance Manager to act as second-in-command to the Head of Finance. This hands-on, strategic role offers the opportunity to work across financial accounting, group consolidation, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and efficiency initiatives, all within a supportive and collaborative environment that values expertise and rewards high performance.

Key responsibilities of the Group Finance Manager:

  • Act as second-in-command to the Head of Finance, supporting strategic finance initiatives.

  • Take ownership of audits, group consolidations, and financial reporting.

  • Drive cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives.

  • Balance strategic responsibilities with hands-on financial management.

  • Support and mentor junior finance colleagues.

  • Ensure robust financial information and accurate reporting across the Group.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement within finance processes and systems.

Key essentials of the Group Finance Manager:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.

  • Proven experience in financial accounting, audits, and group consolidation.

  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
