We are working with a global natural resources business to find a commercially led accountant to join the high performing London Finance team. You will come from a background of spending time on extractive sites working with both head office and operational teams.
Key Remits to the role include:
- Analyse group forecasts, budgets and plans with appropriate sensitivity analysis and operational and group review
- Prepare budget and forecast presentations
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and year‑end management accounts and performance reporting and analysis for Executive management
- Review and liaise with assigned operations on forecasts, budgets and actual financial and operational results
- Organise quarterly forecast and plan presentation meetings with operations and senior management
- Conduct ad hoc analysis, project work or research as required
- Cost and capex review and analysis including trends and variances
The ideal candidate:
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to understand and explain commercial and operational issues
- Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, budgeting, financial and sensitivity analysis
