An established organisation based in Manchester is seeking a Finance Analyst to join its finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior finance leadership, supporting a broad range of financial activities within a PLC environment. You will be involved in month-end processes, management and statutory reporting, and audit preparation, while also contributing to improvements in financial systems and controls.

What you\’ll do

As a Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function through accurate and timely financial reporting, robust control processes, and effective collaboration across the business. Your responsibilities will span month-end close, VAT, audit support, and statutory reporting, alongside contributing to management accounts and commercial analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning group month-end processes, including bank reconciliations, fixed asset register reconciliation, accruals and prepayments, debtor and creditor reviews, and external and related-party loan workings
  • Managing payroll processes and preparing monthly payroll journals in line with internal policies
  • Preparing management accounts and reporting packs for senior leadership, including variance analysis against budget or forecast
  • Presenting monthly reporting packs to senior stakeholders, clearly communicating financial insights to support decision-making
  • Supporting the year-end audit process, including assisting with the Annual Report and liaising with external auditors
  • Compiling annual accounts for group entities for submission to Companies House, ensuring statutory compliance
  • Preparing and submitting VAT and CIS returns and liaising with tax advisers on tax submissions
  • Managing weekly consolidated payment runs, including invoice approvals and ad hoc payments
  • Supporting accounts payable activities through effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Collaborating with development or project teams by preparing budget versus actual reporting for monthly review meetings

What you\’ll bring

You will bring experience in a Finance Analyst or similar role, with a strong understanding of month-end processes within a multi-entity environment. You are confident working with accounting systems and spreadsheets, communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels, and approach your work with professionalism and reliability.

We\’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple entities in a fast-paced finance function
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities
  • Experience preparing consolidated management accounts
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills, including pivot tables
  • Part-qualified status or active study towards CIMA, ACCA, or ACA
  • Real estate sector experience is beneficial but not essential
  • A collaborative approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
