A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a confident and capable Finance Manager to join a small but highly successful legal firm based near Holborn. This is a newly created role, offering the chance to take ownership of the finance function and make a real impact within the business.
About the Role
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end finance function. Working closely with the leadership team, you will ensure the smooth running of all financial operations, bringing structure, insight, and rigour to the firm's financial processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all day-to-day finance operations
- Running and maintaining Xero accounting software
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Processing VAT returns and payroll
- Managing cash flow, debtors, and creditors
- Handling payments, invoicing, and bank reconciliations
- Developing and maintaining effective financial systems and controls
- Supporting business planning and offering financial insight
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and potential growth in the role
About You
This role would suit a confident, hands-on finance professional who thrives in a standalone role and enjoys working as a valued member of a close-knit team. You'll bring both expertise and initiative, with the ability to hit the ground running and build efficient, reliable systems. We're open to candidates who are QBE (qualified by experience), part-qualified, or fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), provided you have a strong grounding in accounts and a proactive, can-do approach.
