As Finance Manager, you will lead the financial operations of a growing SME organisation, ensuring robust reporting, compliance, and data-driven insights. You will work closely with the local management team and the wider Group Finance organisation to strengthen financial control and support ongoing business transformation. This is not just a reporting role - it is an opportunity to shape and modernise the finance function of a growing organisation. You will play a key part in harmonising systems, improving processes, and embedding a culture of transparency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Financial reporting: Prepare, review, and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP, IFRS and Group standards.
- Budgeting & forecasting: Lead the annual budget process and deliver accurate, forward-looking forecasts.
- Finance transformation: Drive process improvements, automation, and system alignment to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Systems & reporting: Oversee and optimise the use of Sage accounting software as the core financial system, ensuring data integrity and efficient reporting. Collaborate on system integrations and improvements, including the use of Power BI for reporting and analysis.
- Compliance & audit: Ensure full compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and internal policies. Coordinate external audits and internal control reviews.
- Business partnering: Provide financial insight and advice to management on performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Team leadership: Manage and develop the local finance team, fostering accountability and growth.
You bring:
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent Qualified.
- Experience in financial management, controlling, or audit.
- Proven experience working with Sage accounting systems, including reporting, reconciliations, and system improvements.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with Power BI or similar data tools.
- Demonstrated success in finance transformation, process improvement, or system implementation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
